4 VERY Simple Steps to be More Productive & Make More Money in Your Business

Do you want to be more productive in your business?

Are you always struggling to get things done and find yourself spending way too much time playing around on Facebook instead of doing what actually NEEDS to be done?

How would you like it if you could ensure you get all of the money-making tasks DONE in your business each day, without fighting to keep the social media deamons at bay?

How would you like to end your day feeling accomplished instead of ashamed?

Enter - THE BRAIN DUMP.

The first thing I do when I start planning for the week is a brain dump. Whatever is in my head, it comes out, including:

  • Business To-Dos
  • Personal To-Dos
  • Appointments
  • Birthdays
  • Break Times (that’s right, I schedule breaks to make sure I actually get them!)

I write down all the to-dos floating around in my head (both personal AND business) and then I schedule them in my calendar so they actually get done.

If it’s not in the schedule, it doesn’t happen. These brain dumps help me to get everything on paper and into my schedule, so I actually do everything I need (and want) to do.

This one simple strategy totally changed the way I live my life. I’m now WAY more productive, without working more, and I get to accomplish things with ease, instead of feeling rushed and overwhelmed.

If you’re struggling to be more productive in your business, here’s what I want you to do:

First, schedule some time RIGHT NOW to do a weekly brain dump. It should take about 30 minutes. Go ahead and put it in your calendar for once per week (at minimum).

Second, start your first brain dump today. Block off 30 minutes to get whatever is in your head onto paper (you can try to make sense of it all later, right now you just want to get it all out). This includes house stuff you need to do, things you need to buy, client meetings you have scheduled - EVERYTHING.

Third, go through your list and separate everything into the following categories: To Do (Personal), To Do (Business), Events, To Buy, and Other (there shouldn’t be many things under “other”, though!).

Fourth, schedule everything from your list into your calendar, using a different color-code for each category.

I promise you that when you do a brain dump each week, your days become much more productive because you know longer have a ton of crap stuck in your head.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

P.S. This really works, but only if you’re consistent with it.
