Feeling jealous and comparing yourself to others? Try this –

Have you ever watched someone from afar and been jealous about how well they seem to be doing?

Have you stalked them on social media, making yourself ill, by comparing them to you and you to them?

Have you questioned everything you’re doing or have done, because this other person isn’t doing it, so maybe you’re wrong?

I used to look at anyone and everyone who seemed to be “ahead” of me, and I would try to mimic (not copy) what they were doing, I would try similar speech patterns, I would use the same sales strategies, I would even create similar offers, all because I thought that if they were having success doing it, that I needed to do it, too.

But this rarely ever worked. Because I was comparing my beginning to their middle. Of course they were doing better than me, they had been at it longer! They had more practice, they had failed more, they had tried more.

I knew that my jealousy wasn’t helping me, but instead, making things worse. I wasn’t able to grow my business as quickly as I wanted to because I was, honestly, trying to be a bunch of other people melded into one. I wasn’t being myself.

We all get jealous. It’s a normal human emotion. But what you do with this jealousy is what you want to pay attention to

I always say that jealousy is actually a GOOD thing, because it gives you confirmation that something is meant for you. Jealous of someones new home? You’re meant for something similar. Jealous of the $100K months so-and-so is having? $100K months are meant for you, too!

Jealously is only bad if you use it to do evil (tear other people down and trample all over them).

But you can use jealousy to your advantage. The next time you feel jealous of someone, ask yourself why. Do you actually WANT what they have? If so, get to work and make it happen! Use that jealousy as a driving force to do better.

I’ve had countless women come to me, frustrated, complaining that someone else is doing better than them, but aren’t working as hard, or haven’t been around as long as they have.

When they ask me what my advice is, it’s always this: out-work them. That’s it. Just work more than they do and you will be more successful. On top of that, make sure you have a massive community of people who really GET you and your message.

If I didn’t have my Facebook group, I wouldn’t have the business I do today. I wouldn’t have just had a $40K month, while away for 2 weeks, if I didn’t have the community that I have built.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If you don’t have a Facebook group of your own, you’re absolutely insane. Facebook groups are currently one of the BEST ways to grow your business, your impact, and your income, insanely fast. They’re what took me to almost $1 Million in sales (and counting).

  • 90% of my clients come from my Facebook group.
  • I regularly sell out offers in my group.
  • I have people recommending me to others all the time in my group.
  • I consistently make a minimum of $30K a month in my group (scaling up to $100K and fast!)

Can you be successful in other Facebook groups instead of having one of your own? Sure you can, but you absolutely, will NOT have the same level of success than if you had your OWN community, your own tribe of loyal fans that are completely obsessed with you, your work and your message.

Now, I can tell you to go create a Facebook group, and you very well may do that, but I can promise you that only a small percentage of you will do any good with it. Here’s why –

Facebook groups can become a huge black hole of nothingness VERY fast. They’re easy to be forgotten. With the thousands (if not millions) of Facebook groups available, if yours isn’t EXTRAORDINARY, if there’s nothing in it making people scream YES to sticking around, engaging, and BUYING, then it will not last.

Creating a Facebook group is only the first step. What comes next is STRATEGY, and lots of it. But if you can nail that, then I promise you that you will have a new wave of first class, raving fans in a community enamoured with you and everything you do.
