How to get anything you want..

How to get anything you want..

I have this friend.

Let’s call her Betty.

Betty really wants to grow her coaching business. She currently makes around $6,000 per month and has been stuck around that mark for over 8 months.

Whenever we get together and talk about our businesses, she mentions that she really wants to get to $30K months, as that is enough to pay all of her bills, travel, put money in savings, and buy furniture for her new house.

She has mentioned working with a particular coach at least a dozen times. She is always commenting on how this coach always says what she needs to hear and her free content is “so valuable”.

I encouraged her to do whatever she had to do to invest in working with this coach.

And she always said “you’re right, I really should, but _______” (insert excuse of your choice).

I don’t make enough money yet.
I have to pay my credit card bill first.
I don’t know how I would make that money back.
It feels too soon, I should wait until January.
I don’t know if I’m ready for a coach.

Every time, there was some kind of excuse as to why she couldn’t hire this coach that she obviously loved and wanted to work with.

I eventually got to the point where I stopped mentioning it because I didn’t think she’d ever pull the trigger and take a chance on herself and hire this coach.

But it kept coming up.

Every time we’d get together and work on our businesses, she’d say “I really feel like I need to hire someone to help me do this faster” and “I just need help”.

She was working around 13 hours every single day on growing her email list, her free Facebook group, creating new programs and offers, working with the clients she already had..

She was exhausted.

I remember being at that point –

Where I just wanted to get to that next income level, so I could have/experience the things I wanted most in life, but feeling so damn tired just doing the work I was doing, that I could never grow.

It took me suffering for months on my own before I finally came to my senses and hired someone to help me shorten the learning curve and make money FASTER.

I knew I couldn’t do it on my own and I knew Betty couldn’t either. Which is why I encouraged her to hire that coach and get the help she needed.

Months went by. She kept dreaming of her $30K months and complaining that she was STILL only averaging $6K each month in her business (I believe she said her biggest month was $9K).

Eventually, 2 weeks ago, while we were sitting in a coffee shop downtown, I snapped, after hearing her say “what did YOU do to finally make the leap to $30K months?” for the hundredth time.

BETTY, I ALREADY TOLD YOU. I HIRED A COACH. WHY THE FUCK WON’T YOU JUST HIRE THIS CHICK ALREADY?!

She laughed.

“I knew you’d say that”, she said.

Only because I’ve already said it 100 times. *eye roll*

Hiring my coaches (and I’ve had a few) didn’t make me money directly, it was the way I showed up AFTER I’d invested in myself that made me more money.

Once I made the investment, hired the coach, took that leap of faith - my whole BEING shifted.

I quickly elevated into my next level.

I told myself that the Cassie who made $30K a month wouldn’t even flinch at paying $15K for a coach.

And even though it was scary –

Even though I didn’t know if it would “work” –

Even though I was shitting myself while putting yet another expense on my credit card for this budding business of mine –

I knew, in my gut, that this was what I was meant to do.

And immediately after hiring my coach, the way I showed up changed and I practically transformed into “new Cassie” - the Cassie who made $30K/month with ease.

The Cassie who didn’t second-guess herself.

The Cassie who was amazing at sales and growing her income consistently.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Anyway –

2 weeks ago, Betty told me that she finally DID hire that coach.

“It was $25K for her mastermind, but it included 1:1 coaching with her, so I did it - I made the first payment - no idea how I’m gonna make the second one, but I know I will - I already feel so much more POWER and DRIVE just by doing this one thing”.

I squealed a bit too loud and the lady at the table next to us gave me the stink eye and sighed heavily, before cranking up the volume on her music.

“OMG you did it!”, I exclaimed, to which she replied “barely - I was on the payment page 4 times and then would close out of it, before I finally said “fuck it, I deserve this”, and filled it all out and signed up”.

I was like a proud Mama bear.

I always get so happy and excited when someone invests in themselves with a high-level mentor, because I know from experience that when you do something like that, you prove to yourself that you’re worthy of it.

You’re worthy of the support.
You’re worthy of elevating to that next level.
You’re worthy of having what you desire.

Even though I could totally have got to where I am right now on my own, without a coach working with me, I definitely would not be here RIGHT NOW.

Maybe in a few years.

Learning on your own takes MUCH longer, and I don’t know about you, but I don’t wanna wait to have the life I want!

I want it and I want it NOW.

So I will HAPPILY shell out tens of thousands of dollars to work with mentors who are where I want to be, who help me to elevate to my next level, just by being around them and having that ability to “pick their brains” and be a fly on the wall of how THEY do business & life.

Over and over and over again.

Because I ain’t ever done growing, expanding, and elevating my life.

So –

Over to you –

Why are you allowing yourself to struggle? Why are you telling yourself that “one day” you’ll finally take a chance on YOU and invest in a mentor that will help you quickly grow your biz?

Why are you waiting?

Why are you making excuses?

The truth is –

If you REALLY wanted to grow your biz, make more money, elevate your life, get to that next level..

You would do it.

No matter what it took, for however long it took, you leap. Repeatedly.

Because without the leap, comes no reward.

Without the leap, you will continue to stay where you are, stuck in that quicksand, desperatly trying to pull yourself out.

Don’t do that to yourself.

Make the leap. You’re worth it.
