Hiring A Good Mentor Costs Good Money

Hiring A Good Mentor Costs Good Money

In my first month as a coach, I made $0. In fact, I was in the hole $6K because I’d spent that on my mentor.

By the end of the year, I’d received over $250,000. In my very first year in a brand new business, in an industry where I was a complete unknown.

This didn’t happen because of luck.

It also didn’t happen because I worked my ass off (although I definitely did do that).

It happened because I hired someone to show me how to (in her words) shorten the learning curve, so I could make money faster.

Working with a coach was exhilarating. Knowing that I had someone to call on when I had a question or needed feedback (which was almost daily back then LOL) felt SO damn good.

But hiring her in the first place is the scariest thing I’ve ever done in my business.

Hiring a mentor was something I knew I needed to do in order to get fast results and make money quickly (I’m not one to wait around - I want results FAST), but something that really terrified me.

The thought of that coaching “not working” was at the top of my mind.

I was worried that it wouldn’t work for me.

I was worried that no one would pay me.

I was worried that I’d have to work 24/7.

I was also secretly worried that it was all a big ol’ scam, like my family tried to warn me it was.

I’m so fucking thankful that I trusted my gut. That I said YES to hiring a mentor, even though I was scared.

Because without that support, I am confident that I never would have got anywhere close to that $250,000 in cash received back in 2015.

I continued hiring mentors from then on, spending well over 6-figures on support.

This led me to making over $2 million dollars (cash received) in just a few years.

I believe in mentorship so much.

I know that it’s a powerful catalyst for success and results in business and in life.

I believe that if you don’t have a mentor to guide you and share their wisdom with you, that you will continue to struggle to find the success that you desire. (And if, miraculously, you do find it, it will have taken you many years longer than if you had just hired the mentor in the first place.)

Trust me when I say that I know hiring someone is scary. Especially when you’re spending multiple 4 or 5 figures to hire them.

But I also know that it’s the BEST decision you could ever make for yourself and your business.

Mentorship WILL make you more money and get you more results, faster (provided you actually implement what you learn, of course).

All of the excuses you give around why you can’t hire a mentor are unacceptable. Don’t do yourself like that. You deserve to have the support you need.

Yes, hiring a good mentor costs good money.

You may not have that money sitting in your bank account right now (but really.. who has a spare $20K, $30K, or $50K just lying around??) –

So what?

If your success is important to you, figure out a way to find the money. You may have to get a loan. You may need to use a credit card. You may need to sell stuff around the house. You may need to beg your parents. You may need to do a combination of all of these things.

But I PROMISE YOU THIS:

The money is there. You just haven’t been creative enough to find it yet.

Instead of telling yourself that you can’t afford the mentorship you know you need, ask yourself how you can get the money.

Turn your “can’ts” into “how’s” and watch how easy it becomes for you to creatively find money. I see it happen all the time when I make big investments and I’ve had many of my clients tell me crazy stories about how, once they started LOOKING for the money (instead of just assuming it wasn’t there and claiming they couldn’t afford coaching), it miraculously appeared for them.

I know that, without a doubt, my business would not be where it is today without the support of mentors I’ve hired along the way.

Mentorship is the #1 reason I’ve been able to achieve such fast success and make so much money so quickly.

You are so worthy of support.

It IS possible for you and it IS possible now.
