STILL NOT HITTING YOUR GOALS? THIS IS WHY…

STILL NOT HITTING YOUR GOALS? THIS IS WHY…

Have you ever wondered why you keep hitting a brick wall every single month?

You can’t get your income to where you want it to be.
You can’t seem to accomplish all that you want to.
You can’t build what you want to build, or launch what you want to launch.

I’ll tell you why –

A lack of trust or a lack of action. Or both at the same time.

Because here’s the funny (and awesome) thing about life, about business, about success.. about all of it –

It’s actually really fucking easy to get what you want. Which means, if you’re not getting it, there’s something seriously wrong. And after working with hundreds of clients over the years, I can tell you with absolute certainty that the reason WHY is because you either don’t fully believe that you can have what you want or that you’re worthy of having it - or - because you aren’t taking the action necessary to receive it.

I think we all deal with some kind of confidence and self-worth bullshit, don’t we? Even if we’re pretty confident and know we’re a badass, there is still that tiny little feeling in the pit of our stomach that tells us we aren’t good enough.

Don’t have it all together.

Aren’t allowed to have what we want.

Aren’t READY yet.

Aren’t smart enough, or talented enough, or pretty enough, or what-the-fuck-ever enough.

You know what I mean?

It’s like we just keep hitting ourselves over the head with “no”.

No, you can’t make that much money!
No, you can’t work with those clients!
No, you can’t date that person!
No, you can’t buy that car!
No, you can’t hire that coach!
No, you can’t live in that neighbourhood!
No, you can’t write and publish a book!
No, you can’t get featured in Forbes!
No, you can’t create a new business super fast!
No, you can’t launch that offer!
No, you can’t talk about that!
No, no, no, no, no, the answer is no!

We keep telling ourselves no, or worse - we allow other people to tell us no - and so we can’t ever get what we want, because deep down, it doesn’t feel like a possibility for us. We can’t even fathom it happening, so no matter how many times you write in your journal that you want it, that it’s happening, that’s it’s already done - the second you write it down, our subconsious mind is already telling you no.

It already doesn’t seem possible, because deep down, that’s what you believe.

If you don’t believe you can have what you want, if you don’t see yourself as WORTHY of receiving it, you will never be able to have it. It doesn’t matter how much action you take, or how much you journal about it, or how much you expect it to happen…

If you don’t believe it will be real, it won’t ever be real.

So –

You need to shift your thoughts.
You need to shift your beliefs, of course.
And you need to shift your perspective.

You NEED to believe that what you want is real. What you want is possible. And what you want is something you are 100% worthy of (and you are.. know that - you are worthy simply because you’re alive).

I remember around 10 years ago, wanting to buy a Cadillac Escalade. I don’t know why. I just saw one somewhere and thought it was cool. I drove a friend’s Denali, which is almost the same thing as an Escalade, just with a Cadillac logo and a few small differences, and was all - I WANT ONE OF THESE, OMG I’M IN LOVE.

I went to a car dealership with my boyfriend - now husband - and the car salesman actually talked me out of getting an Escalade and tried to sell me on a Chevy Tahoe instead. I mean… come on now. A Cadillac to a Chevy?? No. Just no.

But I considered it, because I was pretty broke at the time, and even that truck was WAY more than I had to spend.. I think it was around like $1,000 a month or something. The Cadillac was probably about $1,500-$2,000 a month. I said no, walked away, and honestly, deep down in my gut, believed that this was just a dream and I would never own the vehicle I wanted.

It was just “too expensive”, “not practical” (it was just me, afterall, who am I to want such a big vehicle for just one person?), and definetely “too big” (where would I park it though?).

Eventually I stopped thinking about ways I could have it, and just accepted the fact that it wasn’t for me, and that it was just a dream. I told myself no, and I let OTHERS tell me no, and that my dream was stupid. I turned my back on my desires.

But deep down, I always knew that truck was mine. “When I get older”, “when I’m rich” (hahahaha thinking I had to be rich to afford it), “when I have a family and need the space”… I knew it was mine, but didn’t know when and honestly believed that it was a LONG time away.

10 years go by and I find myself dreaming about those damn trucks again. Except this time my business is making crazy good money and I can actually buy one without flinching. Hmmmm. Okay… I go and take a test drive. I find out the cost. I notice them on the streets. I journal on the fact that I own one.

And do you want to know what happened?

Only a few MONTHS later, I had a Cadillac Escalade parked in my driveway, all mine, paid in full

I allowed myself to believe it was possible. I FELT like it was possible. I saw myself as finally WORTHY of having it. And soon enough? It was mine.

This is what happens when you shift your thoughts, beliefs, and your perspective and you start seeing things the way you want to see them. This is when you start chasing your dreams, no matter how “far fetched” or “unrealistic” they seem. This is when you actually GET what you want (and pretty freakin’ FAST, too!).

It’s not just about believing, either.

You have to do the work. (It can be easy, but hell yes, there is most definitely WORK involved!) You have to show up every day, and do what’s necessary. There is no escaping doing the work. You can even delegate most of the work - but you, too, will have to do quite a bit of it yourself!

Don’t run away from the work.
Don’t hide from the work.
Don’t shun the work.

The work is a requirement. And one that can actually be FUN, if you allow it to be. 🙂

The work means committing to your purpose.
The work means doing the internal (mindset) stuff.
The work means sharing what’s on your heart.
The work means knowing who you are.
The work means loving on your community.
The work means continually showing up, day after day, consistently.

You are the work and the work is you, let it flow. Let it be easy. But also know that it must get done.

I’m talking all of the strategic stuff, too –

Writing sales emails
Creating new offers
Selling
Launching things
Connecting with your community
Creating content
Updating your social media pages
Promoting your new opt-in
Setting up Facebook ads
Engaging on social media
Writing emails and social media posts

And let’s not forget journaling! Exercise! Eating well!

It’s all important and it all must get done. Every day. No matter what.

The work must get done.

So, it comes down to this: If you keep hitting that brick wall, and if everything always seems so fucking hard all of the time, remember to ask yourself these two questions:

  1. “Do I believe I’m worthy of this (result)?”
  2. “Am I actually doing the work I need to do to make this happen, and am I doing it consistently?”

You know yourself. You know what you’re capable of. And you know that you’ve been half-assing it, don’t you.

Time to knock that shit off. Your time for success is now. Your time to get what you want is now. No more waiting. No more second-guessing yourself and your abilities. It’s DONE. Are you ready to manifest some crazy good shit this year?
