This is what it looks like to live a life you LOVE…

As I reflect back over the past year, it’s clear to me that the times I made the most money were the times I was having the most fun

Like that trip I took to Banff in February with my family. Where I saw the most incredible fucking mountains I’ve ever seen, where I rode a snowmobile for the first time and fell in love, where I watched deer and elk casually walk past our front window in the middle of the day, where my clients came over and we talked business, ate fancy food, got our hair & make-up done, and took photos:

And that time I took my mom to Malibu for Mother’s Day and rented an incredible beach house, flew business class (her for the first time, she was so excited), walked up and down the beach multiple times, shopped at high-end organic grocery stores, ate at fancy restaraunts, drank wine and watched the sunset over the water from our back deck, and then hung out with Jason Priestley on the plane ride back (not really, but he did help my mom with her bag… we were pretty excited about that):

And let’s not forget about my whirlwind trip in June with my husband to Nice, Paris, and Ireland, in under 2 weeks! We had the most incredible view from our hotel in Nice:

We hung out with my sister and her boyfriend in Paris to celebrate her birthday (I’d have photos, but my phone was stolen!), and then went to an Ireland wedding, which was one of the most LUXE weddings I’ve ever been to, with some of the nicest people I’ve ever met:

We also moved into our badass castle in June! It’s freakin’ AMAZING:

Summer was a TON of fun, too! We rented an awesome cottage in both July and one on a private island in August, where we went to visit local farmers markets, ate way too many vegan strudels, swam in the water, went boating, sat by the fire almost every night, stayed up late, slept in when I wanted to, read books by the lake, and enjoyed every minute of sunshine that we got!

In August, I had two of my badass clients over for some fun! We had an epic biz planning day together, doing some truly deep inner work, brainstorming new offers, writing writing writing, hustling our hearts out, and then experiencing the most beautiful VIP day of pampering! Hair, make-up, delicious food, a photoshoot, and then a boat ride from the island back to the car to head home. It was magical.

I also got to see my biz bestie Courtney Nicole Davis in September for her beautiful wedding in Charlston, South Carolina! Everyone was SO freakin’ nice in that city, it was kind of scary. 🙂 And I also got to eat the most incredible vegan lasagna I’ve ever had. #moreplease

When November rolled around, I started preparing for the holidays (always fun!!), made loads of shopping lists, bought presents for all of my clients, family, friends, and yeah, okay, maybe 1 or 2 (or 10) for myself, had a Planning Party at a downtown Toronto hotel with two of my biz friends, drank wine & did livestreams, got us a VIP table at a local nightclub to celebrate and have fun, and ran an epic Black Friday sale that generated over 5-figures in just 4 days.

I think back to just over 3 years ago when I was running my “successful” couponing business that was making about $100,000/year. I was doing what I loved (at the time), but I wasn’t having fun. It just became WORK, and slowly but surely, I grew sick of it.

Also, I wasn’t happy with just $100,000 a year anymore, especially since 90% of it was going to contractors that I had to pay to help me keep up with the workload.

I had to walk away. It was scary. I didn’t know if I would succeed at “this coaching thing” that so many people had recommended I do. But the idea of it sounded fun, so I leapt, and was gratefully accepted and profitable within just a few months.

Every month, my goal is to have even more fun than the month prior. Sometimes I do it, and sometimes I fail miserably. One thing I’ve recognized is that the more fun I’m having, the more money I’m making.

I’m not focused on making money, I’m focused on having fun, and when I do that, the money flows to me with ease, without me even trying. THIS is exactly what it looks and feels like to live a life you love.

If you’re on the fence about a decision you need to make, ask yourself this: “Will it be fun?” - if the answer is YES, don’t hesitate any longer and just do it!
