SHOW UP, DO THE WORK, GET IN FLOW, MAKE MONEY, REPEAT.

SHOW UP, DO THE WORK, GET IN FLOW, MAKE MONEY, REPEAT.

Do you ever feel like no one is listening to you? You write a post, or send an email, maybe even host a livestream or something, and it’s REALLY GOOD, but then… no one shows up? No one says anything? No one seems to care what you have to say? I used to get this a lot with livestreaming (and sometimes still do), where if I see there are only 1 or 2 or even 3 people watching live, I just want to close the screen and walk away because I feel like… what’s the point? But the funny thing, which I just now talked about on a livestream I did on my personal FB profile, is that most people who watch your livestreams won’t watch them live.  That’s because people have stuff to do.  They’re busy. They’re multi-tasking, maybe.  But if they like you, they believe in your message, and they want to know more from you, they WILL come back and watch the livestream at a time that’s more convenient to them. I go back to those livestreams I did even a few months ago that had maybe 3 viewers live, and I see that they now have HUNDREDS of views. And of those hundreds of views, I’m sure many of them have since purchased one of my programs, or followed me more closely. The point is –  There is ALWAYS somebody watching. No matter how many “crickets” you get, there are people watching. Listening. Taking it all in. Sometimes they just don’t say anything. 🙂  Don’t shy away from doing something because you have a fear that no...
JUST DO IT YOUR WAY, HAVE FUN, ENJOY THE PROCESS, AND WATCH THE RESULTS HAPPEN!

JUST DO IT YOUR WAY, HAVE FUN, ENJOY THE PROCESS, AND WATCH THE RESULTS HAPPEN!

Another day, another email. Sometimes I wonder how I’m able to keep doing this every day. How do I keep having something to say? Why do I keep hitting “send”, day after day after day? And more importantly, does it really matter? The stuff that I say in these emails, that is.. And OF COURSE it matters. Of course it makes a difference. If not for anyone but myself. I’ve just gotta get the words out.  Every day I look at the blank screen, with the cursor blinking at me, like an angry child staring at me, demanding I hurry up and give them a cookie. If you’re not quick, someone might have a tantrum. (And it probably won’t be the child…) So I see this blinking cursor every day. It taunts me. Tries to tell me I have nothing to say, and I should go away and do something else until I feel “inspired”. Have you ever done that? Not “been able” to write anything, and promise yourself you’ll go and do something to get yourself inspired and THEN you will write? I have. And it usually ends with me not writing anything.  My point is: The reason I show up and say something every day, is not because I have something earth-shattering or important to share, but because if I don’t, I will lose the momentum I have built around writing.  Writing used to be so hard for me. I would struggle with knowing what to say (always trying to impress others by saying what I thought I was “supposed to” say, instead of what I really wanted to say)....
EVERYONE IS SHUTTING DOWN THEIR FACEBOOK GROUPS AND YOU SHOULD BE REALLY, REALLY SCARED

EVERYONE IS SHUTTING DOWN THEIR FACEBOOK GROUPS AND YOU SHOULD BE REALLY, REALLY SCARED

Sometimes I know what I want to say.  Most of the time I don’t.  Because the actual truth is, I have SO MUCH to say. My head is filled to the brim with things I want to say to you, with new things being added all day long. Every time someone says something stupid, every time I witness a situation in the grocery store, every time I get a message from a client.  I WANT TO TELL YOU ALL THE THINGS.  I want to SHARE all the things.  I want to help you with all the things.  But –  I don’t.  Because if I did, I don’t think I would ever, EVER be done. And so I must stop myself and ask “do I really need to say this?” before I share anything. As if I didn’t, well.. Facebook might blacklist me for all the shit I’d be throwin’ down over there.  The sad thing (or maybe a good thing?) is that I am triggered ALL THE TIME.  Something can set me off and fuck up my whole day in an instant.  I’ve had to work really damn hard on myself to get to the point I’m at now, where I’m only pissed off/annoyed/irritated AF for a few hours instead of all day long.  I see lessons in every situation, both good and bad.  I see lessons for everyone. I see lessons that I feel called to share.  Because my mistakes are lessons for others.  Mistakes made by others are lessons for me.  And I’ve honestly felt some shame about the sheer lack of lessons I’ve shared with you. As...
Why I turned down $90,000 in sales & added people to my client blacklist!

Why I turned down $90,000 in sales & added people to my client blacklist!

So here’s something that’s a bit controversial –  Saying NO to someone that wants to give you money. I know that I run a business. I know that the goal of any business is to make money. But I straight up REFUSE to take your money if you fit a certain BLACKLIST criteria.  Since I re-opened the doors for 6-Figure Success Seekers, my 6-month unlimited access mentorship program, I’ve added quite a few new names to my black list and turned down more people than those I said yes to. Just yesterday, someone messaged me with this question –  “Hey Cassie, how are you? I really want to join your 6 month coaching program but I don’t love working as much as you do, I actually hate the word HUSTLE haha, I prefer the work to get done quickly and then I can take time off to relax and do other things. I know I can make a lot of money, I just don’t want to work hard to make it 🙂 Does that make sense?” To which I had to pick my jaw up off the floor (does she even KNOW who she’s messaging???) and then responded with this –  “No, actually, it doesn’t make sense. Not to me. I only work with people who LOVE the hustle, who don’t enjoy “time off” and who are willing (and actually really excited about) doing the hard work because they know that the hard work is what matters. And they actually love it anyway. So I’m sorry, but this program isn’t for you and I can’t take you on as...
If you love what you do, you just do it, no questions asked!

If you love what you do, you just do it, no questions asked!

Can you honestly say that you LOVE what you do? Do you really believe that you’re doing the work you were born to do? Deep down, do you feel like you are living your ideal life? I hope you answered YES to at least one of those questions. And if you didn’t, I hope you are on the path of getting to YES. Because nothing is more important than finding what you love, doing that, turning it into a lifestyle where you get paid to be you. It has to mean something.  If you’re gonna take action, what does that action MEAN? How does it make you feel? What is the underlying purpose of the action? And of course, why is taking it so important to you? Everything you do in life means something. Every action you take serves a purpose.  You may exercise because it makes you leaner and healthier.  You may take the trash out because then your house won’t smell.  You may write about sex because it makes your heart sing to do so. You may work privately with your clients because you know you’re helping them change their lives. You may eat vegetables, because you know they’ll make you “big and strong”, as Mom used to say. The action you take has a purpose that means something to you.  What is it for your business? What is that meaning? That purpose? Where does the DRIVE come from? Find it, hold on to it, remember it. Because that’s the only thing that will get you through the ups and downs of this crazy entrepreneurial world that...
Choosing a Profitable Niche – The Why & How

Choosing a Profitable Niche – The Why & How

When you’re thinking about a new business, you first need to come up with an idea. An idea that you are super passionate about. Something you can see yourself working on for years and years to come. Something that makes you wake up each morning with excitement. THAT is first and foremost. If you don’t love what you do, you will fail. I promise. Life’s too short to do crappy work that you don’t enjoy. Once you’ve decided on an exciting idea, you need to start thinking about the niche. Which niche are you going to fit into - and more importantly, is it a profitable niche that you really want to pursue? Before I go any further, let me quickly explain what a niche is, exactly. A niche is a a specific type of content/service/product. For example, on my website, MrsJanuary.com, we cover all things frugal living. Therefore, our niche is “frugal living”. If you’re a virtual assistant, your niche would be “real estate virtual assistant” or “blogger virtual assistant” - whatever type of virtual assistant you are. If you sell jewelry, your nice would be “antique jewelry” or “kids jewelry” or “glass jewelry” - whatever type of jewelry you sell. Make sense? But how do you know if your niche is profitable? How do you know if what you offer is actually wanted by others? Good question, and one you should definitely consider. The best way that I’ve found, to determine if a niche is profitable or not, is to check with Google. I use a free tool called Google Keyword Planner. (Note: You need to sign...
